To give an idea of space required, you need 18 sq.ft. (5.48sq. metres) per person if the marquee were to be used for a reception with dining and dancing. For example a 60' x 30' (18.29 x 9.14 sq. metres) marquee would be ideal for 100 guests. However, if drinks and/or food were to be served from a smaller attached marquee or from your house, 15 sq. ft. (4.57 sq. metres) per per person be required. If the entire space was to used for sitting at a table then the requirement would be 12 sq. ft (3.65 sq. metres). For hospitality units we normally allow 20 sq. ft. (6.1 sq. metres) per person.
